Through immersive experiences, we invite individuals to reconnect with the natural world and restore their well-being. Emphasizing humanity's deep bond with nature, we create opportunities that nurture body, mind, and soul. As the sanctuary evolves, reciprocity guides our way of life. Through sharing ecological and cultural wisdom, the sanctuary embodies a living model for a new way forward—one where human presence enriches rather than depletes the natural world. Looking back from the vantage point of a century’s progress, we will be able to tell our children’s children the story of humanity’s journey toward becoming humble, engaged participants in nature’s flourishing.

For the past eight years, Victoria and Eric Guarino traveled the world, listening to the land, to people, and to ways of living in harmony with both.
For Victoria, these journeys brought her back to the rhythms of the Earth and to the roots of her own ancestry — a profound reconnection to the wisdom of Mother Nature, as a felt sense remembered from within.
For Eric, these travels marked a quiet departure from a decade plus in corporate real estate where he witnessed the direct impact of his work on the world, catalyzing a reorientation from extraction to regeneration.
It was amidst these transformative journeys that CASALMA took root. A space to reweave humanity and nature, where the elements act as unifying forces, fostering meaningful connections, and invoking the reminder that nurturing the world around us becomes inseparable from nurturing the world within us.

A partnership born out of a common mission: to create programs and projects that inspire new relationships with ourselves, each other and the Earth. The Pseads (“seeds”) Institute is an educational nonprofit and design institute energized by a love of people and planet and the core belief and principle that how we learn becomes how we live. CASALMA began out of a partnership with Pseads to support their work in building community, empowering youth visions and voices, and supporting projects that honor the ‘seed’ of wisdom that exists within every human being.
Pseads is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, serving as our incubator, mentor, and foundational partner.
